The Music I Create
Music has always been a part of my life. I picked up a guitar but quickly lost interest in playing other people’s songs—so I wrote my own. The right people crossed my path, and before I knew it, we had a ragtag band. That band, without me, became Captain Tractor, and they later recorded three of my songs. Lucky me.
These days, I keep creating—collaborating with friends in Edmonton and Chicago to produce new music from afar. I also have an album, and my music is available everywhere, including Apple Music and Spotify.
The Quilts I Sew
If you’d told younger me that I’d be into sewing, I would’ve said you were out of your mind. And quilting? That was for seniors, right?
Turns out, quilting isn’t what it used to be. Modern fabric designers and makers have completely changed the game, and I’m hooked.
Like a lot of people, I picked up a new hobby during the pandemic. What started as a creative outlet spiraled into a quirky little YouTube channel—Sew with James—where I share my stitching adventures.
These days, I still follow patterns, but I’m also diving into collage-style fabric art. Who knows where the thread will lead next?
